Job description

What you’ll do:

  • Build and Deploy language translators for Mainframe DevOps using SCLM for various language types.
  • Conduct audits and generate reports for compliance (e.g., SOX, PCI-DSS).
  • Support Data Centre migration planning and coordination with all applications
  • Change management – Service now tickets, review all key system changes, requires strong knowledge with system and application changes
  • Conduct Capacity planning – System, Project impact and Monthly review
  • Conduct Mainframe Performance review, work on Online and batch CPU fine tuning
  • Act as subject matter expert and support development teams on the following day-to-day activities including implementations, performance reporting, Abends and P1 incidents and system stability.
  • Lead and support upgrades, emergency maintenance- Outages – gens, Task Cycles, Prod and UAT system, Upgrades – z/OS, IMS, DB2, z/VM, MQ, COBOL, etc.
  • Conduct Business continuity planning and Disaster recovery planning
  • Work with multiple Vendors for all Mainframe Products life cycle Management, like IFA, SCLM, EasyTrieve, SYSWARE ,Omegamon, DataManager,PKZIP,CODE1-PLUS,Coz.

What we’re looking for:

  • Must have good knowledge of DataManager products, Able to configure ADMIN, DDICTI dictionaries. Work with applications on COPYBOOKS generations and review.
  • Strong Knowledge with SYSTEMWARE product, able to work with application report automation, index definition and bundles
  • Very good knowledge on IMS connect set up for integration with middleware and cloud platforms. Must be able to review IMS connect timeout Values and TCPIP socket session outages.
  • Strong knowledge of IMS and DB2 databases along with IBM CDC configuration;
  • Strong knowledge of RACF and ability to implement and control RACF resource groups for various ACL ;
  • Good hands on Mainframe DASD and RMM Storage, able to work on VRS rules and report generation for cleanup
  • Knowledge of COBOL, C, Assembler languages and assist teams with debugging issues on Z/OS platforms
  • Strong knowledge of JCL, REXX, CLIST scripting languages on mainframe.
  • Strong knowledge of IBM-TWS for job scheduling and monitoring.
  • Strong knowledge of IBM-MQ WebSphere and must be able to work MQ support teams for heterogeneous communication channels.
  • Good understanding of cloud concepts and must be able to work with distributed applications using OnPrem and Cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of performance and resource monitoring tools like Omegamon and IBM PA
  • Strong knowledge on SCLM and Breeze tools, must support SCLM and Breeze as Single SME.

The annual starting salary for this position is between $98,000 to $120,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
