Job summary
IPolarity LLC is seeking a seasoned Mainframe NetView Engineer to support IBM z/OS environments with automation, monitoring, and resiliency. You will administer NetView, develop automation using REXX and CLIST, and implement event-driven automation to optimize incident response.
The role focuses on NetView definitions, policies, operational controls, and integration with enterprise monitoring tools, ensuring high availability. Onsite relocation is considered where needed.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience with IBM z/OS operating system.
- 5+ years of IBM NetView administration and automation experience.
- Strong hands-on development experience with REXX, CLIST, and NetView automation.
- Proven experience designing event-driven operational automation solutions.
- Demonstrated success supporting highly available enterprise mainframe environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure incidents and implement long-term resiliency improvements.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain IBM NetView for z/OS environments.
- Configure and support NetView automation infrastructure.
- Monitor NetView performance, availability, and operational effectiveness.
- Manage NetView definitions, policies, and operational controls.
- Design and develop automation solutions utilizing REXX, CLIST, and CMDLISTs.
- Develop automated recovery procedures and operational workflows.
- Implement event-driven automation and message automation solutions.
- Configure and maintain Automation Tables (AUTOTBL).
- Implement proactive monitoring and alerting; assist incident resolution.
- Integrate NetView automation with z/OS components and enterprise monitoring.
