Rocket Software in the United States is seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Modernization Solutions Architect to analyze, design, and implement modernization strategies that empower customers’ digital transformation journeys. In this hands-on role you will set patterns, drive standards, and lead cross-functional teams across mainframe, cloud, and DevOps domains.

Qualifications

• Advanced technical degree in computer science or related field.
• 4–10 years leading mainframe/legacy modernization initiatives.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, Cloud Foundry, Docker/Kubernetes.
• Ability to analyze on-prem mainframe apps for modernization plans.
• Certifications such as AWS Solution Architect Pro, Azure Solution Architect, SAFe.
• Fluent in written and verbal English.
• Experience migrating mainframe workloads to Rocket Enterprise Server platform.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, high-availability solutions on Rocket Enterprise Portfolio.
• Lead customers with business, development and infrastructure teams.
• Create POC analyses and pilots.
• Deliver technical presentations and trainings to peers.
• Align partners with Rocket modernization methodology.
• Provide architectural guidance for global customer engagements.
