Job summary

PNC is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to install, configure, test, and deploy mainframe software across multiple sysplexes, while providing MIS and end-user support and coaching junior staff.

The ideal candidate will have experience with z/OS, SMP/e, JCL, DB2 for z/os, IBM tools, and mainframe utilities, plus a working knowledge of TCP/IP, ISPF, and related tools. This is an in-office role with diverse collaboration opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant industry experience with mainframe environments.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Applies solution design and support while meeting customer needs for infrastructure tech.
• Develops software components and hardware for projects aligned with business goals.
• Independently solves problems and updates applications with new tech.
• Collaborates with engineers, architects, developers and staff to meet project objectives.
• Analyzes customer needs and provides ongoing support for clients.
