Job summary

Shrive Technologies LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Senior Mainframe Technical Specialist to reverse-engineer Hogan modules and translate legacy business logic into modern specifications to support migration to the Pismo platform.

The role requires deep expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, MQ and experience with legacy modernization, production change control, and collaboration with architecture and development teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on Hogan core banking experience.

• Experience in legacy system analysis and migration projects.

Responsibilities

• Reverse-engineer Hogan modules including IDS, CIS, PEP+, ULS, DDA, and rail-specific components
• Analyze and document business rules embedded in COBOL programs into structured specifications
• Design and build data extraction and integration interfaces using VSAM, DB2, MQ
• Enable dual-write mechanisms, rollback strategies, and legacy-side validation during migration
• Support legacy system stabilization and change control processes in production
• Collaborate with architecture and development teams to replicate behavior in Pismo
• Participate in decommissioning strategy for legacy functionalities

Role: Mainframe Technical Specialist - Cobol, DB2, VSAM, JCL, CICS

Job Summary:

Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for Hogan core banking systems, reverse-engineering legacy modules and translating embedded business logic into modern, canonical specifications to support migration to the Pismo platform.

Responsibilities

• Reverse-engineer Hogan modules including IDS, CIS, PEP+, ULS, DDA, and rail-specific components
• Analyze and document business rules embedded in COBOL programs into structured, reusable specifications
• Design and build data extraction and integration interfaces using: VSAM DB2 MQ
• Enable dual-write mechanisms, rollback strategies, and legacy-side validation during migration
• Support legacy system stabilization and change control processes in production
• Collaborate with architecture and development teams to ensure accurate behavior replication in Pismo
• Participate in decommissioning strategy for legacy functionalities L

Skill Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with DXC Hogan core banking platform
• Strong expertise in: COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, MQ
