Delta System & Software, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mainframe Developer (IMS and CICS) to lead development, debugging, and maintenance in a large corporate environment. The role focuses on COBOL, IBM Z/OS, and related mainframe technologies, with exposure to API integration and cloud concepts.

The position requires 10+ years of experience, onsite Wilmington, DE, with 5 days per week in the office, and rotation-based weekend support. AWS and modern front-end familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Experience in mainframe environments with COBOL, CICS, IMS DB/DC, and DB2.
• Knowledge of SDLC and agile practices including CI/CD, security, and resiliency.
• Experience in large corporate environments with modern programming and querying languages.

Responsabilités

• Perform L3 support and issue resolution.
• Conduct maintenance and support activities.
• Provide on-call weekend support (rotation).
• Support 13x7 rotation schedule.
• Coordinate with offshore teams.

Job Title: Mainframe Developer (IMS and CICS ) plus L3 Support

Experience: 10+ Years

Location: Wilmington, DE (Onsite 5x a week)

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Proficient in coding in one or more languages.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
• Hands on experience in IBM-Z/OS COBOL, CICS,IMS DB/DC, DB2, VSAM, JCL, CA7, Changeman/Endeavor Mainframe application development suits and IBM WebSphere MQ messaging solution.
• Experience in creating API using zO/S connect & Kafka integration is a plus.
• Demonstrated knowledge and work experience on AWS is a plus.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
• Knowledge on banking domain & credit card is a plus.
• Exposure to cloud technologies

Support Activities:

1. Perform L3 support
2. Perform Maintenance and support activities
3. Able to provide support on Weekend (rotation basis)
4. Support nature is 13*7 (rotation basis)
5. Flexible to work in Shift (2 PM to 11 PM). This is mostly for week in month
6. Able to co-ordinate with offshore team.
