Job summary

MSRcosmos LLC is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to join our team for COBOL/CICS, DB2, JCL, and MQ expertise in the Automotive Finance sector. The role involves application development, production support, and performance optimization across enterprise systems.

This contract-to-hire position requires strong troubleshooting skills, daily/monthly batch process optimization, and on-call support. Exposure to FIS Systematics is a plus; independent visa is required.

Qualifications

• Experienced mainframe developer with COBOL/CICS, DB2, JCL, and MQ.
• Experience in Automotive Finance domain.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for batch and online systems.
• Familiarity with unit testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide application development and production support for large-scale mainframe applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including batch and online abends.
• Analyze and optimize daily/monthly batch processes to improve efficiency and reduce processing windows.
• Perform impact analysis across multiple systems and platforms.
• Deliver technical design, development, and estimation documentation.
• Participate in on-call support for batch processes during off-hours.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in COBOL/CICS, DB2, JCL, and MQ, along with domain experience in Automotive Finance. The role involves application development, production support, and performance optimization across multiple enterprise-level systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide application development and production support for large-scale mainframe applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including batch and online abends
• Analyze and optimize daily/monthly batch processes to improve efficiency and reduce processing windows
• Perform impact analysis across multiple systems and platforms
• Deliver technical design, development, and estimation documentation
• Participate in on-call support for batch processes during off-hours
