Job Title : Mainframe Developer

Job Type : C2C

Experience : 8 - 15 Years

Location : Remote

Responsibilities

• 8–15 years of experience in Mainframe development.
• Experience with DevOps tools and automation in a Mainframe context.
• Strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.
• Experience in mainframe tools such as Endevor, File-AID, Abend-AID, and Xpeditor.
• Experience with tools like Endevor, Changeman, or similar version control systems.
• Knowledge of REXX, CLIST, or other scripting tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with Cisco business processes or previous experience at Cisco is a plus.
• Good understanding of batch and online processing.
• Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
• Perform impact analysis, requirement gathering, and create technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA, and other developers to ensure optimal system performance and compliance with Cisco’s development standards.
• Participate in code reviews, optimize performance, and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Support production deployments, incident resolution, and ongoing maintenance tasks.
• Migrate or integrate Mainframe systems with modern platforms as needed.
