Job summary

K&K Global Talent Solutions Inc. is seeking a senior technical lead in the USA to oversee legacy modernization efforts and offshore teams.

The role emphasizes COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM and CICS to deliver scalable, end-to-end applications. You will collaborate with Product Owners, apply Lean/Agile/XP practices, ensure code quality, performance tuning, and reliable middleware/API integrations across initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, ChangeMan, File Aid/File Manager, DFSORT, Syncsort and Easytrieve.
• Experience leading offshore teams and managing distributed/migration projects.
• Knowledge of SDLC and Lean/Agile/XP practices, CI, security, scalability, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop high performing, scalable end-to-end applications.
• Mentor and manage offshore teams and coordinate with global partners.
• Lead migration from legacy systems to distributed architectures.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and technical partners to deliver in-line with business requirements.
• Ensure code quality, documentation and performance optimization across projects.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• 8+ years of experience COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, ChangeMan, File Aid/File Manager, DFSORT, Syncsort and Easytrieve
• Develop high performing, scaling and innovative end-to-end applications
• Must have offshore team management experience.
• Experience in migration from legacy to distributed systems.
• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices and Testing Techniques
• Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
• Understand performance parameters and assess application performance
• Experience on working with API through middleware.
• Working independently and taking ownership on business requirements.
• Collaborating with other technical partners and Product Owners.
• Strong technical and Analytical capabilities.
