Job summary

Kyndryl designs, builds and modernizes mission-critical technology systems. The role focuses on replication design and implementation across mainframe and distributed environments, including real-time data synchronization, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

You will work with DB2 z/OS, IIDR/CDCQ, UNIX scripting, and related tools. The position emphasizes integration with DBAs, data engineering teams, and BI workflows, and requires strong problem-solving skills, hands-on replication

• Strong troubleshooting for data inconsistencies and replication latency.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, and maintain DB2 replication solutions across mainframe and distributed platforms.
• Build and manage source-to-target replication pipelines and real-time data synchronization.
• Troubleshoot replication failures, data inconsistencies, and backlogs; provide L2/L3 production support.
• Tune replication processes to reduce latency and optimize resource usage across systems.

• Replication Design & Implementation
• Design, install, configure, and maintain DB2 replication solutions across mainframe and distributed platforms
• Build and manage source-to-target replication pipelines

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

• Experience with: DB2 for z/OS
• ZDIHMIPS reduction / optimization projects
• UNIX system service including installing patch on UNIX
• UNIX scripting
• RACF
• Hands‑on experience with replication technologies: IBM InfoSphere Data Replication (IIDR) / CDCQ Replication (preferred)
• Knowledge of: Replication architecture and data flow design
• Change Data Capture (CDC) concepts
• Strong troubleshooting skills in: Data consistency issues
• Performance and replication latency
• Experience with: JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF Mainframe batch and online environments

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with: MQ / messaging systems
• ETL and data warehousing platforms
• Experience with: Monitoring tools
• Automation (REXX, Python, scripting)
• Exposure to: Cloud or hybrid data architectures
• Experience in: Large‑scale data migration or modernization programs
• Real‑time data streaming architectures
