Job summary

Vytwo in Dallas/Austin is seeking a Mainframe Lead / Automation Engineer for a hybrid role (3 days onsite). The candidate will transform manual operational tasks into automated, auditable workflows within a mainframe-integrated banking environment.

The role requires strong Python, GitHub, and CI/CD expertise, plus experience with Control-M and scheduling. Flexibility for relocation and remote options may be considered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development/automation engineering experience.
• Experience building production-grade automation, not just scripts.
• Strong Python development skills with testing, logging, and maintainability.
• Strong GitHub expertise including CI/CD practices.
• Experience creating and supporting GitHub Actions workflows for validation, testing, deployment, and promotion.
• Experience with GitHub Copilot and VS Code for coding and troubleshooting.
• Automation architecture mindset to convert manual processes into automated workflows.
• Quick learner of Control-M and related scheduling tools.
