Job summary

Vytwo Technologies Inc. is seeking a Mainframe Lead / Automation Engineer for our Banking/Finance domain in Dallas/Austin, TX. The role requires transforming manual operations into automated, auditable workflows with strong Python and GitHub skills.

This is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite per week and Day One on-site work. The candidate will drive production-grade automation, work across mainframe-integrated environments, and collaborate with modern engineering tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development/automation engineering experience.
• Proven experience building production-grade automation.
• Strong Python development skills with testing, logging, error handling, and maintainability.
• Strong GitHub expertise, including branching strategies, PRs, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience creating and supporting GitHub Actions workflows for validation, testing, deployment, and promotion.
• Real-world experience using GitHub Copilot and VS Code for coding, refactoring, troubleshooting, and productivity.
• Automation architecture mindset with ability to convert manual processes into automated workflows.
• Control-M experience preferred, scheduling experience acceptable.
