• We are looking for a seasoned Mainframe Application Support Engineer to support and enhance enterprise document management systems for a leading client in North America. This role involves a mix of operational support, incident resolution, documentation, and participation in enhancement and large-scale project initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Mobius, COBOL, JCL, and mainframe utilities, with working knowledge of Mobius and related tools.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor system health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Maintain and update technical documentation; identify gaps and ensure materials are organized and up to date.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and recurring problems.
• Contribute to system enhancements and support large-scale project implementations.
• Provide general support for service requests, infrastructure changes, and break-fix activities.
• Enforce existing standards and recommend improvements to support efficient onboarding and maintain system integrity.

Mandatory Skills Description:

• Mainframe Development & Operations:

• DB2/SQL with tools like SPUFI or QMF

• Mobius (Enterprise Archiving and Retrieval):

• Experience with Mobius development or administration

• Understanding of Mobius object types

• Familiarity with Mobius utilities (e.g., ARCHMIGR, TOPMAINT, DBMAINT, VDRCOMMD)

• System Tools & Utilities:

• Mainframe job scheduling tools (e.g., CA-7, Control-M)
