• We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mainframe Application Support Engineer to support enterprise content management systems for a major client in North America. This role is critical to maintaining and enhancing key mainframe-based applications, with a focus on operational support, incident resolution, documentation, and project execution.
• The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in COBOL development, mainframe utilities, and document management platforms such as CMOD and Mobius, along with a proactive approach to system integrity and process improvement.

Responsibilities:

• • Monitor system performance and proactively address issues across CMOD and Mobius applications.
• • Maintain and enhance technical documentation; identify gaps and ensure materials are current and well-organized.
• • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and recurring problems efficiently.
• • Contribute to system enhancements and participate in large-scale project implementations.
• • Provide support for service requests, infrastructure changes, and break-fix activities.
• • Enforce existing standards and propose improvements to streamline onboarding and maintain system integrity.

Mandatory Skills Description:

• 4+ years of experience in mainframe application support or development
• Mainframe Development & Operations:

• DB2/SQL with tools like SPUFI or QMF

• Experience with CMOD development or administration

• Proficiency with CMOD utilities (e.g., ARSDOC, ARSLOAD, ARSADMIN)

• System Tools & Utilities:

• OMVS/USS/ISH (Unix System Services on Mainframe)

• Mainframe job scheduling tools (e.g., CA-7, Control-M)
