Job summary

Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) in Augusta, ME, seeks a highly analytical professional to join the Office for Family Independence. You will collect and analyze MaineCare eligibility data, build dashboards, and support leadership with data-driven decisions for statewide public assistance programs.

The role involves collaborating with program leadership, ensuring data quality for reporting, and aiding modernization efforts while maintaining compliance with federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Eight years of education, training, and/or experience analyzing, evaluating, and/or developing improvements to organizational and/or managerial systems.
• Ability to work independently and balance priorities with deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Collect, validate, analyze, and interpret MaineCare eligibility and operational data.
• Develop reports and dashboards to support leadership decision-making.
• Identify trends, operational issues, and opportunities for program improvement.
• Support federally required reporting and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Assist with MaineCare systems modernization by documenting business requirements and collaborating with technology partners.
• Develop complex data queries and analytical reports.
• Support budget development, workload analysis, and resource planning.
• Recommend improvements to business processes and reporting methods.
• Collaborate with leadership, technology staff, vendors, and federal partners.
