Description

Summary: Floor Staff team members are classified based on individual theatre needs and/or employee availability, as either variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular, or full-time hourly employees. Their primary responsibility is ensuring our guests receive exceptional service. Floor Staff may work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher. Employees must act as representatives of Regal, adhering to our mission and policies, including:

  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Handling emergency situations when called upon
  • General cleaning duties
  • Compliance with dress code
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

For each position, including but not limited to:

Box Office
  • Operating POS system, handling cash, credit cards, gift cards, and coupons accurately
  • Upselling Premium Viewing Experiences
  • Promoting the Regal Crown Club
  • Selling tickets in accordance with MPAA ratings and policies
  • Responding to guest inquiries via phone
Concession
  • Operating POS system and managing inventory
  • Promoting the Regal Crown Club
  • Preparing and cleaning concession equipment
  • Complying with food safety laws
  • Following legal requirements for breaks and meals
  • Maintaining current alcohol certification if applicable
  • Reading and understanding training materials on harassment and discrimination
Usher
  • Tearing tickets and directing patrons
  • Inspecting backpacks when applicable
  • Managing crowd control and seating assistance
  • Enforcing MPAA ratings
  • Monitoring theatre environment and reporting issues
  • Performing concession sales in theatre
  • Cleaning auditoriums and maintaining cleanliness
  • Monitoring vending equipment
  • Assisting with opening and closing duties
Qualifications

Must be able to perform all duties satisfactorily. Requirements include:

Education/Experience

Completion of cast certification and box office training or progress towards it. If selling alcohol, complete necessary state/local training and Regal Responsible Beverage Server training.

Language Ability

Good public speaking, listening, and responding skills.

Math Ability

Ability to perform calculations quickly and accurately, and correct errors.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to identify problems, analyze data, evaluate options, and act under pressure.

Personal Skills

Excellent communication skills, goal setting, time management, and prioritization.

Physical Demands

Frequent standing, walking, sitting, handling, reaching, talking, and hearing. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. May lift up to 60 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
