Main Campus Student Worker Desk Attendant - Science Learning Center (NonFWS Student Worker)

A desk attendant in the Science Learning Center is the first person a student interacts with when entering the center.

The desk attendant is responsible for helping students enter the center, log in, and find the correct tutor. They will answer questions and help students and tutors direct students as needs arise.

This is a non-federal work study student worker position.

Position Purpose

The desk attendant in the Science Learning Center is the first point of contact for students entering the center. Their responsibilities include assisting students with sign-in, providing basic information, and supporting the overall functioning of the center.

Essential Functions
  1. Welcome students to the Science Learning Center, assist them with sign-in, and provide basic information.
  2. Complete other duties as assigned, including but not limited to printing, answering the phone, cleaning, organizing, and assisting the Science Learning Center Coordinator.
  3. Communicate effectively with students and tutors and assist in small tasks to support student success.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You must be currently enrolled at Stark State College and be enrolled in a Natural Science course or have declared a science degree.
