Responsibilities
Passionate, energetic, and able to connect with viewers on‑air.
Ready to break stories in the field and on the desk.
Review scripts for newscasts and reporters in the newsroom.
Write clear, concise, conversational scripts and help produce informational, accurate, and well‑paced shows.
Make calls to sources to enterprise stories and do live shots when needed.
Research and tell complex stories for special reports and series.
Anchor with polished skills and the ability to ad‑lib when necessary.
Work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven, stressful environment.
Be active on social media and make appearances on behalf of the station.
Be flexible to work varying shifts, including severe weather, elections, or other news events.
Mentor young journalists, develop story ideas, and run/participate in editorial meetings.
Qualifications
Experience using ENPS and Edius is a plus.
A clean driving record is required.
