Job summary

Braille Works in Florida seeks a detail-oriented Fulfillment Team Member to produce and ship accurate physical media (print, embossed, braille, audio) in accordance with client specs and priority SLAs. This execution-focused role handles materials, processes, and shipments within established workflows.

You will work in a remote-enabled environment with occasional on-site needs, maintain productivity and accuracy, and collaborate across departments to ensure timely delivery.

SUMMARY:

Fulfillment Team Members are responsible for producing and shipping accurate physical media across print, Braille, audio, and data in alignment with documented standards, client specifications, and assigned priorities.

This role is execution-focused, with responsibility for meeting defined productivity, accuracy, and throughput targets while completing work in the correct sequence to support SLAs.

Team Members operate production equipment, process materials, and prepare shipments while consistently applying standards and seeking clarification when needed. This role operates within established workflows and does not include ownership of workflow decisions, quality standards, or process design.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Produce accurate, high-quality physical materials (print, embossed, burning, and assembled products) in accordance with documented standards and client specifications, and support multiple production functions as needed based on business demand.
  • Complete assigned work in the designated sequence, including prioritization of rush or time-sensitive jobs to support SLA performance.
  • Inspect and verify in the required sequence, including prioritization of time-sensitive and rush jobs, to support service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Inspect and verify work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance prior to release or shipment, ensuring adherence to company standards and client requirements.
  • Perform fulfillment and shipping functions, including sorting, packaging, labeling, and preparing materials for distribution in accordance with postal regulations and company procedures.
  • Meet established productivity, accuracy, and quality standards as defined in departmental performance metrics.
  • Meet established productivity, accuracy, and throughput expectations as defined by departmental performance metrics.
  • Follow established workflows, systems, and instructions consistently; seek clarification when needed and promptly escalates issues impacting quality, productivity, equipment, or deadlines.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role does not have supervisory responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in production, manufacturing, fulfillment, or mailroom environments preferred.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent and/or 0–2 years of related experience in production, fulfillment, manufacturing, mailroom, or similar environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position operates in a remote work environment with the expectation that the employee is able to report to the designated office location as needed for meetings, trainings, audits, or other business requirements. This role may require periodic on-site presence based on business needs. Advance notice will be provided when possible; however, flexibility to support in-person needs is required based on operational and contractual obligations.

This is a full-time, Monday through Friday, hourly position.
