Job summary

IRONMARK is seeking a Mailing Machine Operator in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. You will operate inkjet printers, inserters, folding machines, and tabs to process and prepare mail for shipment in line with USPS and other regulations.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, sorting mail per USPS rules, performing basic maintenance, and coordinating with the Mailing Services team to ensure accurate, timely production. High school diploma and basic IT skills preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1–2 Years of Industry Experience Preferred.
• Experience with inkjet, tabbing and inserting equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate inkjet equipment.
• Set up and operate mechanical tabbing equipment.
• Set up and operate envelope inserting equipment.
• Sort mail per USPS regulations to match postal paperwork for bulk mail entry.
• Operate machines that seal envelopes and apply postage.
• Monitor the operation of machines to ensure that mail is processed accurately and according to set standards and quality control procedures.
• Collation and assembly of non-machinable mailing packages.
• Review postal paperwork and internal job tickets to check specifications and follow instructions for production.
• Presort and tray mail per USPS specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on mail processing machines to ensure smooth operation.
• Identify and resolve issues that may arise during the processing of mail.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize projects and ensure timely and accurate completion of mailing projects.
• Work with mailing department team to perform quality control checks.
• Ensure tasks are carried out in a timely manner.
