Pitney Bowes is hiring a Presort Associate 1st shift for our Grove City, OH facility. The role includes presort and dispatch duties, quality checks, and coordinating with drivers to meet delivery schedules.

The position requires dependability, physical stamina, and the ability to work overtime. Training is provided, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within a large mailing services network.

Qualifications

• The ability to be dependable and reliable.
• Knowledge of the pre-sort mailing business is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• The ability to walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodation.
• A basic enough understanding of English to understand safety and other directions.
• The ability to work overtime which may include weekends, holidays and/or a different shift with little or no advance notice.

Responsibilities

• Presort: Prepare outgoing permit and metered mail by reviewing date, postage, and barcodes.
• Presort: Ensure mail has correct dates, weights, zip codes, and that mail isn’t stuck together.
• Presort: Communicate errors and identify bad barcodes.
• Presort: Troubleshoot and clear mail piece jams.
• Presort: Understand USPS labels and bin/tray mappings.
• Dispatch: Understand USPS labeling and preparation for stacking.
• Dispatch: Sleeve mail, process By-Pass Mail, and separate mail as required.
• Dispatch: Assist with inbound/outbound processing of mail/packages.
• Dispatch: Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely deliveries and monitor acceptance times.
• General: Follow Presort Academy certifications; monitor quality; adhere to QMS; assist with processing; ensure SLA readiness.
• General: Maintain a clean, safe workspace; perform additional duties as required.
