Description: Mail Processor

Location: Des Plaines, IL Schedule: Monday-Friday 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM Pay Rate: $18.50/hr

Position Summary

We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Mail and Package Processors to join our warehouse operations team in Des Plaines, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for handling, sorting, labeling, and preparing parcels for shipment in a fast-paced distribution environment. Successful candidates will have a strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Parcel Processing & Sorting

• Load and unload parcels from Gaylords, boxes, and pallets.
• Sort packages according to destination, service type, and customer requirements.
• Process parcels accurately and efficiently to maintain quality standards.
• Apply shipping labels and over-label packages as required while verifying information for accuracy.
• Inspect packages for damage, proper labeling, and compliance with shipping specifications.

General Warehouse Support

Assist with staging, scanning, and preparing shipments for dispatch. Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with team members.

Support additional warehouse operations as needed, including:

• Parcel bagging and sealing
• Pallet building and staging
• Waste disposal and recycling
• Inventory counts and supply organization

Physical Requirements

Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive use of hands and arms. Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds or more. Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment throughout the shift.

Work Environment

Exposure to moving mechanical equipment and warehouse traffic. Variable temperatures, including occasional exposure to warmer conditions. Moderate to loud noise levels typical of warehouse operations.
