Job summary

Responsibilities include overflow tasks, basic data entry, and maintaining a clean, organized mailroom. Occasional coverage during Facilities Manager absence is expected to ensure continuous mail services.

Qualifications

• 0-5 years' experience in mail processing.
• Ability to receive, sort, and distribute mail and packages.
• Capable of applying postage and documenting shipments.
• Experience with data entry and record-keeping.

• Receive and sort incoming mail, packages, and deliveries to appropriate recipients.
• Prepare outgoing mail, including letters, packages, and parcels, and apply postage.
• Review, prep, and send Certified and First-Class Mail in a timely manner.
• Handle overflow duties and assist with office tasks as needed.
• Take mail to the post office to meet deadlines and maintain mailroom operations.
• Assist in the absence of Facilities Manager to ensure uninterrupted mailroom services.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the mailroom area.

Ensure that all mail is properly labeled and distributed to the appropriate recipients within the organization. Prepare outgoing mail, including letters, packages, and parcels. Apply postage and ensure proper documentation is attached. Review, Prep, and Send Certified and First-Class Mail. Process certified and first-class mail, ensuring it is dispatched in a timely and accurate manner. Handle overflow duties such as assist with additional tasks that may impact mailroom operations, such as office supply management or equipment maintenance. Regularly take mail to the post office, ensuring it is sent before deadlines to meet postal requirements. Take charge of mailroom operations in the absence of the Facilities Manager, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted mailroom services. Assist with basic administrative tasks, like data entry and record-keeping. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the mailroom area. Additional duties as assigned.
