Job Description

The primary objective of the Driver position is to transport students and staff to and from designated locations. The Driver will pick up and drop off students and staff from the CMC campus and designated locations.

*This is a part‑time position limited to 28 hours per CMC workweek. CMC’s workweek is Saturday through Friday.

Qualifications

Education and experience sufficient to meet the rigors of the position. Applicants must be 25 years or older, be able to pass the online CMC driver training, and possess a current, valid driver’s license with no violations within two years. Bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational language abilities are preferred.

• Must transport students and staff to and from CMC campus and designated locations.

Special Conditions of Employment

• Successful completion of a background check including a motor vehicle records report is required.
• The driver must adhere to all safety and compliance policies of Colorado Mountain College.

Supervision

The position reports to a designated supervisor. The driver usually works within the framework of responsibilities but may require guidance at times. The driver has no supervisory responsibility.

Working Conditions

The position requires constant sitting, occasional walking, standing, and driving; occasional handling and moving objects; frequent reaching with hands/arms; use of finger movements. Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Constant written and oral communication and the ability to reason, analyze, and perform calculations occasionally. Work is performed using a computer and standard office equipment daily and driving a vehicle occasionally.

Benefits

Hiring pay rate is $21.00 per hour. Benefits include retirement contribution, annual and sick time, mental health resources, and tuition benefit. Salary may be set commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications in compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.
