Job summary

TNStumpff Enterprises, LLC is hiring for a CDS Rural Mail Carrier on a part-time USPS route in the Cairo, NY area. You will sort mail, load parcels, and deliver along a 33.7-mile line of travel while meeting USPS standards.

Applicants must be 19+, possess a valid NY driver’s license, be able to lift 70 lbs, and reside in the area. Vehicle reimbursement is provided in addition to hourly pay.

Responsibilities

• Sort mail in delivery sequence for 537 active boxes.
• Load mail and parcels in delivery sequence into the delivery vehicle.
• Deliver mail along an assigned 33.7-mile line of travel.
• Dismount if required to deliver parcels, Express mail, and other accountable mail items.
• Perform other administrative duties as required.

Job description

Now Hiring - USPS CDS Rural Mail Carrier

TNStumpff Enterprises, LLC, the nation’s leader in Contract Delivery Service for the United States Postal Service, with offices in 20 states, is currently seeking applicants to deliver mail PART TIME on a CDS mail route solicited and posted by the USPS in the Cairo, NY area.

Applicants must be at least 19 years of age with a valid New York driver’s license; able to lift 70 lbs., able to work in all types of weather conditions and must reside in the area.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Sorting mail in delivery sequence for 537active boxes
• Loading mail and parcels in delivery sequence into delivery vehicle.
• Delivering mail along an assigned 33.7-mile line-of-travel.
• Dismounting if required to deliver parcels, Express mail, and other accountable mail items.
• Other administrative duties are required.

Minimum Vehicle and Insurance Requirements:

• Applicant must furnish vehicle, which meets postal regulations, and meet postal driving requirements.
• One Dependable vehicle that provides 120 cubic feet of usable load space for mail and parcels. (Mini-Van, SUV, Truck with Camper Shell)
• $100,000/$500,000/$100,000 or $600,000 (CSL) of liability insurance for contract vehicle
• The applicant is responsible for all the vehicle maintenance, fuel and insurance cost.
• Vehicle Reimbursement paid on top of hourly pay.

Employment Details:

• Hours: Day Shift - Part time - generally, one day per week.
  • 11:44am – 5:17pm* *End times will vary based on completion of all mail and parcel delivery.
• Pay: $25.24**/hour PLUS vehicle reimbursement
  • *Start and End time may vary.
  • ** Straight time, Health & Welfare, Holiday and Vehicle Reimbursement paid out hourly. (Benefits paid as cash equivalency up to the maximum of 40 hours per week per the DoL Wage Determination under the Service Contract Act.) Rate of Pay and cash equivalent benefits exceed the requirements set by the Department of Labor Employment Standards Administration Wage and Hour Division.

Must be able to pass a drug test and have a criminal background history that meets the USPS standards.
