Job Title: Machine Service Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on high-speed machinery.
  2. Travel to spray drying facilities in North America to provide hands-on training, inspections, and repairs.
  3. Generate detailed inspection and service reports, ensuring accurate documentation.
  4. Provide remote customer support via telephone, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
  5. Assist in manufacturing processes for parts and assemblies using manual mill, lathe, and drill press as needed.
  6. Operate dynamic balancing machines to ensure equipment precision and performance.
  7. Disassemble, clean, and inspect rotary atomizers in the Columbia, MD workshop and at customer sites.
  8. Machine parts on mill and lathe; balance shafts and components of atomizers.

This position requires a strong mechanical background in machinery building and repair.

Qualifications:
  • Machinist certificate, Associate Degree, or relevant machinist experience.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in machining, manufacturing, or equipment repair (preferred).
  • Strong mechanical skills and familiarity with precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to interpret instruction manuals, assembly, and machining drawings.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and basic machine shop equipment (mill, lathe, drill press).
  • Willingness to travel within the US, Canada, and overseas on short notice.
  • Comfort working with chemicals and cleaning solvents related to machine repair.
  • Experience with dynamic balancing equipment, lathe operation, and manual milling.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written).
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Service-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

The starting pay range for this position is estimated between $28 and $41 per hour, varying by location within the United States. This range is not a guarantee of salary; final compensation depends on skills, experience, location, and other factors. Additional rewards may include discretionary bonuses and equity awards.
