Job summary

Wake County Public School System is seeking a Magnet Program Coordinator to advocate for magnet objectives, enhance theme-based curricula, and market the magnet program to families. The role collaborates with the district's Magnet Office and school staff to implement and sustain magnet themes.

The coordinator will design professional development, coordinate thematic curricula, and lead recruitment events. A strong background in education and marketing supports inclusive, high-quality magnet

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Five years of K-12 teaching experience.
• Must hold or be eligible for a North Carolina Professional Educator’s K-6 or 6-12 license, based on the level of the position.

Responsibilities

• Advocates for integrating Magnet Objectives in the School Improvement Plan and participates in Magnet Coordinator Meetings.
• Designs annual professional learning plans and delivers sessions on magnet curricula and growth mindset.
• Communicates Magnet Objectives to staff and stakeholders and tracks integration progress.
• Supervises analysis of magnet-related curricula and connects community partners to magnet programming.
• Collaborates on development of annual marketing and recruitment plans, including events like Magnet Fair and open houses.
• Manages magnet-related communications with parents and the community.
• Develops annual magnet funding plans and tracks expenditures with school administration.
