Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center, part of Methodist Health System, is seeking a Microbiology Manager to lead a high-performing laboratory team in Dallas, TX. The role requires strategic oversight, policy development, and daily operations across 24/7 coverage.

The manager will guide staffing, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with the medical director to sustain patient-centered, process-driven standards. A BS in CLS or related field and MT(ASCP) certification are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Clinical Laboratory Scientist or related area of specialty.
• MT(ASCP), CLS(ASCP), or MT(AMT) certifications/licenses required.
• 5 years of laboratory experience.
• 2–5 years of management experience preferred.
• 5–10 years of microbiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the microbiology department as a visible, engaged, collaborative manager.
• Formulate plans, organize resources, direct personnel and develop policies.
• Provide 24/7 department coverage and ensure regulatory standards are met.
