Job summary

Xebia IT Architects is seeking a highly skilled Magento 2 developer to join our remote team. You will work on architecture, module development, and theme customization for Magento-based stores, integrating REST and GraphQL APIs, and optimizing search with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.

You should be proficient in Git and Docker, apply OOP design patterns, and adhere to Magento coding standards while delivering high-quality eCommerce solutions in a distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive Magento 2 development experience and architecture knowledge.
• Proficient in PHP and MySQL with strong REST/GraphQL API experience in Magento 2.
• Experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch for product search optimization.
• Hands-on Git version control and Docker containerization.
• Good understanding of OOP, design patterns, and Magento coding standards.
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3 in front-end integration.
• Familiarity with Magento Commerce Cloud is a plus.
• Experience with unit testing (PHPUnit) is a bonus.
• Basic Linux command line and server environment familiarity.
• Understanding of multi-store, multi-language, and multi-currency setups is a plus.

Ok to work from 2:30 PM - 11:30 PM IST

Location: Remote

Required Skills & Experience:

• 68 years of professional experience in web development with at least 5 years+ in Magento 2.
• Strong knowledge of PHP and MySQL.
• Good understanding of Magento 2 architecture, module development, theme customization.
• Experience working with REST and GraphQL APIs in Magento 2.
• Proficiency in Elasticsearch or OpenSearch for product search optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Git for version control and Docker for containerization.
• Strong understanding of OOP principles, design patterns, and Magento coding standards.
• Good knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.
• Experience with Adobe Commerce Cloud (formerly Magento Commerce Cloud) is a plus.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (PHPUnit) is a bonus.
• Basic understanding of Linux commands and server environments.
• Good knowledge of eCommerce business models and workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

Mandatory technical skills:

• PHP, MySQL, Magento 2, Javascript, GIT, Docker, Magento commerce cloud.

Additional Skills:

• Experience with Headless Magento / PWA Studio
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
