Job summary

Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. (MSG Entertainment) is seeking a friendly bartender to serve beverages at events across MSG venues, including Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, and Beacon Theatre.

You will handle high-volume service, verify age, operate the POS, and ensure cleanliness and safety while working nights, weekends, and holidays in a busy arena environment. This role offers competitive hourly pay and opportunities to grow within a leading live entertainment

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have previous bartending experience, bartending license a plus.
• Ability to handle high-volume service and maintain quality.
• Experience using POS systems and cash handling.

• Locations can include Arena Bar Stands, Infosys theater, The Grill Room, Madison Club or Delta Club.
• Assist in day-to-day Food & Beverage operations at the arena during events and maintain bar area cleanliness; heavy lifting may be required.
• Walk/stand for the entire shift.
• Check IDs to verify 21+ age requirement.
• Mix, garnish and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
• Engage guests, make recommendations, take orders, and process payments.
• Maintain appearance and presentation guidelines on-site.

Who are we hiring?

The Bartender is responsible for serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests during events at Madison Square Garden in a professional and courteous manner.

What will you do?

• Must be friendly, outgoing and create a welcoming environment to guests.
• Locations can include Arena Bar Stands, Infosys theater, The Grill Room, Madison Club or Delta Club.
• This position is also responsible for assisting in the day to day Food & Beverage operations at the arena during events and maintaining food, beverage and cleanliness of bar area, includes heavy lifting due to stocking of work area.
• Must be able to walk and stand during the entire shift.
• Checks identification to ensure is authentic and confirm it meets the legal drinking age of 21.
• Mixes, garnishes and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests.
• Be engaging to all guests, make recommendations, while taking their drink orders and completing all cash or credit transactions prior to serving.
• Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.

What do you need to succeed?

• The ideal candidate will have previous bartending experience, bartending license a plus.
• Have commitment to high quality customer service and ability to handle a high-volume environment.
• Food & Beverage product knowledge.
• Experience using POS system
• Must have a positive attitude and good team work ethic.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:

• Able to walk and stand during the entire shift.
• Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 bs.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, have split days off, work weekends and holidays in a 24 X 7 environment.
• Must be able to work within an environment with loud noises and everchanging visuals.
• Ability to climb and descend multiple flights of stairs while carrying equipment or supplies
• Ability to maintain certification in T.E.A.M alcohol management training

Hourly Pay Range

$20.85 — $20.85 USD
