Job summary

GATE Petroleum’s Jacksonville location is seeking a Food Service Associate to deliver friendly, efficient service and support daily store operations. You will assist customers, prepare food items, stock shelves, and help maintain kitchen and store cleanliness while following safety guidelines.

In this role you will operate the register, train new team members, and collaborate with the Store Kitchen Manager to ensure accurate product information and smooth service during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Able to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to communicate in English (read/write/speak) effectively.
• Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must read and follow safety, sanitation guidelines.
• Experience in convenience store or food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with products and information; operate food prep and production equipment.
• Stock coolers and shelves; maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Operate register and process payments; handle refunds per policy.
• Train new team members on food prep and safety procedures.
• Perform minor maintenance on store equipment.
• Ensure food safety and proper portion control.
• Prepare made-to-order food items per menu and recipes.
• Assist kitchen and store managers with operations.
