Job summary

M&T Bank Corporation, headquartered in Buffalo, NY, is seeking an analyst to contribute to macroeconomic scenario development used in financial forecasting and capital adequacy assessments. The role supports research and reporting to senior management, informing forecasts and strategic recommendations.

You will monitor scenario forecasts, assist with projects across Finance and risk teams, and help improve processes while staying compliant with risk and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience OR Associate's degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience in economics, finance, or financial institutions.
• Good knowledge of finance and/or economics concepts.
• High level of PC competencies (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access). Data visualization or data querying applications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and publication of macroeconomic scenarios informing financial forecasting and assessments of capital adequacy.
• Support ongoing monitoring of macroeconomic scenario forecasts against actuals in support of financial and capital planning processes.
• Provide cross-training and support to new team members.
• Contribute to the production of management reporting highlighting key aspects of macroeconomic scenarios.
