Job summary

Point72’s Global Macro team in New York seeks a Credit Trader for discretionary macro trading on credit trades, CDS, and corporate actions. You will work with portfolio managers to execute trades electronically and non-electronically, while maintaining relationships with liquidity providers.

The role demands a strong understanding of order lifecycle, TCA, and market intuition, along with clear communication to mitigate operations risks.

Qualifications

3+ years of work experience as a credit trader in corporate bonds or CDS.
Experience with OMS/EMS platforms such as MarketAxess and TradeWeb.
A team player and collaborative mentality.
Understanding of order lifecycle from order generation to booking and TCA.

Responsibilities

Work with the portfolio manager on electronic and non-electronic execution of all credit trades.
Maintain strong relationships with a broad set of liquidity providers.
Analyze new issues and maintain relationships with syndicate desks.
Be responsible for position maintenance (e.g., CDS rolls) and liaise with Investment Services teams on corporate actions.
Conduct research on transaction cost analysis and broker/algorithm evaluation.
