Job summary

GDH is seeking a macOS Systems Engineer to design, develop, and enhance remote management capabilities for macOS hardware in VDI environments. This role extends existing architectures into the macOS ecosystem and supports thin-client deployments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions into CI/CD pipelines, troubleshoot OS and hardware issues, and contribute to documentation. Onsite work in Columbus, OH is required.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Mac hardware, macOS, and OS internals.
• Experience with Apple Core API frameworks, macOS system services, or low-level components.
• Development experience in C, C++, Swift, or Go in a macOS environment.
• Familiar with CI/CD practices and modern software delivery pipelines.
• Understanding of VDI environments and thin-client architectures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve macOS system-level issues.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Able to work with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Must meet work authorization requirements for the position.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support remote management capabilities for macOS hardware.
• Build and enhance system-level functionality interfacing with macOS components.
• Develop solutions using Apple Core API frameworks and system services.
• Collaborate to extend device management into macOS environments.
• Integrate development activities into CI/CD pipelines and delivery processes.
• Support macOS-based thin-client deployments within VDI environments.
• Troubleshoot OS, hardware, peripheral, and remote management issues.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable operation across VDI platforms.
• Contribute to software design, development, testing, automation, and documentation.
• Participate in continuous improvement of development processes and performance.
