At Vercept, we’re reimagining how humans interact with computers.

Today, using a computer still feels like wrestling with a machine. We’re building something better—an AI-first experience that makes using a computer feel as natural as thinking. If you’ve ever dreamed of technology that actually gets you, you’re going to like what we’re working on.

The Role

We’re looking for a part-time Swift App Developer to help us bring our MacOS app to life. You’ll work closely with a fast-moving team to design, build, and iterate on native Mac features powered by cutting-edge AI systems. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role with the potential to convert into a full-time position.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain native MacOS applications using Swift
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and researchers to define and deliver new features
  • Ensure high-quality, responsive, and accessible user experiences

Bonus:

  • Experience “vibe coding” (i.e., using LLM-based tools to assist with programming)

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience building MacOS or iOS apps with Swift
  • Familiarity with database integration and performance optimization
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, startup-style environment
  • Understanding of UI/UX design principles is a plus

Compensation

$70,000–$150,000 annually (prorated based on part-time hours), depending on experience and location.

  • Flexible hours
  • Potential to convert to full-time based on performance and mutual fit
