Join to apply for the Machinist Trainee-2nd, 3rd/Weekend Shift role at MetalTek International.

Our Wisconsin Centrifugal Division has been a proud community member for over 75 years, located just 2 miles southeast of I-94 and HWY F. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and are one of the largest centrifugal foundries globally.

Machinist Trainees will work on 2nd Shift (2:30-11pm) or 3rd Shift (Sunday night start, 10:30PM-7AM). Training on 1st Shift (6:30AM-3:00PM) will be provided for approximately 4-6 months. Limited weekend shift opportunities (Friday-Sunday, 5:00PM-5:00AM) may also be available.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with experienced machinists
  • Learning operation and setup of various machine tools
  • Mastering skills such as CNC operation, setup, and adjustment
  • Using precision measuring devices
  • Completing required paperwork
  • Participating in training and education to facilitate trade knowledge
  • Gaining understanding of shop routings, materials, fixtures, tooling, and locations

Requirements include:

  • Solid math skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Willingness to vary work hours for training
  • A strong desire to become a top-notch setup machinist
  • Stable education and employment history
  • Background in industrial arts and manufacturing preferred
