Job Description: Lanzen Inc. Harbor Springs is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Machinist Trainee. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to learn and develop skills in precision machining while contributing to vital defense-related projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Learn and understand basic machining principles, including reading blueprints, operating manual machining equipment, and interpreting machining specifications.
2. Assist experienced machinists in setting up and operating CNC machining centers, including Fadal machining centers.
3. Gain hands-on experience in programming CNC machines, loading/unloading workpieces, and performing quality control checks.
4. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
5. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
6. Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education or training in machining or manufacturing is a plus.
2. Must have minimum six (6) months factory experience or attended Career and Technical Education (CTE) program for Machining.
3. Basic understanding of machining principles and tools.
4. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
6. Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
7. Willingness to undergo background check and pass physical/drug screening.
