Job summary

Parker Engine Mobile Aftermarket Division (EMAM) through Baldwin Filters is seeking a tool room machinist to support the tool and die operations. The role involves operating lathes, CNCs, milling machines, grinders, and heat treating furnaces to fabricate and repair parts for dies and machines.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, setting up machines, producing prototypes, and ensuring quality and safety in a manufacturing environment. Associates’ degree is preferred for this position.

Qualifications

• High school education with one year machine shop experience.
• Associate’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and interpret verbal instructions, drawings, and blueprints.
• Set up and operate tool room machines including lathes, milling machines, drill press, band saw, CNC machines, and grinders.
• Learns to handle and use machinist’s hand tools and precision measuring devices.
• Operates heat treating furnaces.
• Fabricates new or replacement parts for dies or machines.
• Supports other tool makers as required.
• Produces prototype parts as required.
• Learns fabrication and troubleshooting of all production machines and stamping dies.
• Completes paperwork including job cards, inspection reports, logs, etc.
• Keeps work area neat, clean, organized, and under control.
• Is responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies.
