TEMPE, AZ-based L&H Industrial is seeking a Machinist Tech II. This full-time role pays $28.00-$37.00 hourly DOE and involves operating CNC machines to produce large precision components for mining and heavy industrial applications.

You will read engineering drawings, choose tooling, set up workholding, program at the control, and perform tight inspections. We value craftsmanship, safety, and the ability to solve challenging problems while mentoring junior machinists.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC machining, setup, and control programming.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and tolerances.
• Strong focus on precision measurement and workmanship.
• Willingness to learn new equipment, processes and techniques.
• Excellent teamwork and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to manufacture components.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances for operations.
• Determine tooling, workholding, machining sequences, and setups.
• Program and adjust at the machine to meet specs.
• Perform precision measurements and inspections to verify finished work.
• Troubleshoot machining challenges and develop practical solutions.
• Work independently while collaborating with machinists, supervisors, Engineering, and Quality.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment and care for equipment.
• Follow applicable customer, quality, and manufacturing requirements.
• Share knowledge and assist in developing less-experienced machinists.
