Job Description
  • Set up, adjust, and operate tracer lathes, cutoff saws, and other machining equipment for roughing and standardized work to close tolerances.
  • Adjust speeds, feeds, and operational sequences within standard machining practices.
  • Work from routings, process sheets, and blueprints to perform roughing operations. Select appropriate tools for requirements and conditions.
  • Ensure heat number traceability.
  • Initiate process change requests and maintain accurate operation records.
  • Perform machine clean-outs and general labor as needed.
Requirements
  • General knowledge of machining practices.
  • Knowledge of shop math and blueprints.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. and perform repetitive, heavy pushing and pulling.
