Job summary

TEAM, Inc. provides machining services to industrial sites and manufacturing facilities. The Machining technician performs field machining on client work sites including pipe cutting, flange resurfacing, drilling and tapping, and milling of bases, with focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities include documenting activities, maintaining equipment, and meeting client production expectations. Travel up to 27% is required; HS diploma or technical training preferred; 3+ years field machining

Qualifications

• Perform field machining services on client work sites: pipe cutting and beveling, flange resurfacing, drilling and tapping, milling, line boring, key-way cutting.
• Adhere to safety procedures and job documentation; maintain equipment and tooling.
• Document all field activities and interact with client personnel and supervisors.

The general duties and major areas of responsibilities of the Machining technicians can be broken down into the following stages.

• Review of client job scope
• Compliance with all safety procedures and job documentation.
• Accountability of job equipment and tooling prior to arriving job site.
• Achieve or exceed client quality expectations.
• Accomplish or exceed client production expectations.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern
• Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to TEAM’s Core Values.
• Performs field machining services on client work sites performing any of the following duties:
• Pipe cutting and beveling
• Flange resurfacing
• Drilling and tapping
• Milling motor or pump bases
• Line boring
• Key-way cutting
• Identifies circumstances that necessitate the use of proper safety procedures and equipment.
• Documents all field machining service activities as required.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Technical school or relevant training preferred.
• Three (3) or more years of experience in field machining in an industrial setting required.
• Current HAZWOPER training certificate preferred.
• Travel Requirements: 0% - 27%

Work Conditions

• Position is based out of a branch or site location.
• Shop duties require primarily indoor work in a shop atmosphere
• Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere
• Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel
• Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels
• Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection
• May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes
• May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
• Must be able to walk and climb except when performing non-field duties
• Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employee to communicate effectively
• Sufficient vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodations, which permits employee to investigations
• Sufficient manual dexterity with or without reasonable accommodation, which permit the employee to perform routine office duties

Additional Job Description

Anticipated compensation for this role is $72,800.00 – $93,600.00 per year plus benefits.
Note: Disclosure as required by Cal. Lab. Code § 432.3 of the pay range for this role when being hired into our locations in California. Team reserves the right to pay more or less than the pasted range. Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and geography.
