Job summary

CMJ Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC machinist (mills and lathes) with at least 5 years in Aerospace. The role requires reading engineering drawings, understanding routings, and metrology with precision instruments.

You must own basic hand tools and be ready for a first shift, full-time position with potential for advancement. We value self-starters who can work to DOE standards, perform setup for 3- and 4-axis CNC machines, and contribute to a fast-growing aerospace supplier.

Qualifications

Looking for experienced CNC machinist (mills and lathes) with a minimum of 5 years experience in Aerospace.

Competencies

• -Read and understand engineering drawings and tool designs
• -Knowledge of inspection process’
• -Read and understand routings – meet time requirements in an efficient manner
• -Experience with use of precision instruments, gauges, tools, etc
• -Basic math and problem solving skills
• -Must have own hand tools (Certified measuring devices provided)

Physical Requirements

• -Able to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead and bend to floor
• -Able to exert up to 50 lbs of force frequently

Required Education

• High school or equivalent

Required Experience

• CNC machining in Aerospace or closely related industry: 5 years minimum
• Experience with set up 3 and 4 axis CNC: 5 years
• Gibbs and Catia experience a plus
