Job Summary

Work Shift: 3rd Shift

Are you the type of person who works to consistently follow processes and has good attention to detail? In this role, you will set up and operate machining equipment to produce parts that meet precise specifications. We’re looking for independent thinkers with pride in high-quality work to shape raw materials into Yellow Iron.

What You’ll Do
  1. Set up and operate various machining equipment, including but not limited to: steel saws, buffers, threaders, drilling machines, press brakes, plate cutters, machining centers, gas or fiber lasers, benders, and CNC equipment.
  2. Read blueprints or process sheets for specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, tooling instructions, feed rates, cutting speeds, and tool selection.
  3. Select proper equipment, tooling, fixtures, and accessories based on established procedures.
  4. Calculate and adjust machine settings using basic math and verify product quality with measuring tools.
  5. Load and unload raw materials or finished products, possibly using an overhead hoist.
  6. Perform and document total preventative maintenance (TPM).
  7. Support 5S and workplace organization goals, suggesting improvements to enhance department performance.

  • Successful completion of Vermeer Machining Training.
  • Ability to produce high-quality parts meeting production demands.

- No travel expected for this position.

Work Location
