Our client, a technology company in Newbury Park, CA, is seeking a Machinist Operator - 1st Shift to join their team.

Location: Newbury Park, CA

Pay Range: Up to $33/hr

What’s the Job?

Job Summary

The Machinist Operator must set up, run, and inspect parts to drawing specifications using CNC Lathe, CNC Mill, or CNC Mill turn. Responsibilities include performing first article inspections, correcting discrepancies, advanced setup and fixturing, troubleshooting, and assisting other machinists as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of machine shop theory, procedures, shop mathematics, material properties, and layout techniques.
• Set up and operate CNC Lathe or CNC Mill with 5-10 years of experience.
• Use tools and measuring instruments such as saws, shears, grinders, calipers, micrometers, and other hand tools.
• Read blueprints, machine, and inspect completed parts and related documentation.
• Retrieve tools from the tool crib to complete jobs.
• Consult reference books or engineers to resolve questions or issues.
• Maintain equipment as necessary.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and perform math.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
• Preferred 5-10 years of experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, pull, or push up to 20 lbs.
• Occasional walking, sitting, twisting, and bending during approximately 3 hours per shift.

This position requires eligibility to obtain authorization under ITAR and/or EAR regulations. Non-US Persons may not be eligible.
