Job Description:

The Machinist, Maintenance supports operations by fabricating, modifying, and repairing metal parts and components for industrial equipment and systems. Working under the direction of senior maintenance staff or supervisors, this role operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses to produce parts according to technical specifications. This position plays a vital role in sustaining operations within a secure facility by ensuring availability of precision components needed for equipment maintenance and repairs.

1. Set up and operate manual and/or CNC machine tools to manufacture or modify parts for maintenance and repair purposes
2. Assist with mechanical repairs by fabricating or machining replacement parts to precise tolerances
3. Follow detailed instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure dimensional accuracy and fit
4. Inspect finished parts for defects using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
5. Maintain and clean shop tools and equipment in compliance with safety protocols
6. Support other maintenance trades by providing timely machining support
7. Document completed work and communicate effectively with maintenance personnel and supervisors
8. Other duties as assigned
