Summary

The Machinist will perform alteration tasks on aviation articles following technical data from manufacturers’ Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Service Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standards, and FAA-approved data. Additionally, the machinist will develop, duplicate, and manufacture tooling as required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines, including mills, lathes, or hones, to produce parts per specifications.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Prioritize components for repairs to meet delivery deadlines.
• Perform quality checks using precision measuring tools.
• Maintain and troubleshoot CNC and honing equipment.
• Ensure knowledge of tools and proper equipment use within the area of responsibility.
• Document maintenance and repair records.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to meet aerospace standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2-3 years of relevant technical work experience.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing workloads and priorities.
• Maintain an organized and productive work environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high-quality standards.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word).

Preferred Requirements

• 5+ years of work experience.
• 1 year of machinist experience.
