Job summary

Hilton Tool LLC in Oregon is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to plan, set up, and operate CNC mills, lathes, Wire and Sinker EDM, and related equipment. The candidate will inspect parts, hold tolerances to +/- .001, read drawings, and ensure process conformance across production runs.

We offer a swing shift 3:30 pm–2:00 am with an hourly $3 shift premium, health and vision/dental insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience with complex machining and CNC tools.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T on drawings.
• Proficient in calculating feeds and speeds and performing math accuracy.
• Capable of maintaining tolerances and ensuring quality across production runs.
• Strong attendance and safety record.

Responsibilities

• Develop a plan of action to manufacture parts according to drawings.
• Set up equipment and load tools/fixtures; set offsets.
• Read and adjust G&M code; monitor production and adjust as needed.
• Inspect finished parts and ensure conformance to drawings.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.

CNC Machinist:

Hilton Tool is a Manufacturer of Precision Machined Components. Specializing in close tolerance parts, assemblies, prototyping, and production runs. Hilton Tool, and/or its affiliate Companies, also will engage in complex steel fabrication.

A successful candidate will be able to Plan and layout work, set up and operate various CNC mills, lathes, Wire and sinker EDM, and other manufacturing equipment. Inspect parts to ensure they are within tolerance using precision measuring tools such as height gauges, calipers, micrometers, etc. Able to hold tolerances of +/-.001. Must be a top performer or have a unique skill or ability. Must have exemplary attendance and safety record.

Job Type: Full-time

SWING SHIFT:

Monday-Thursday: 3:30 pm – 2:00 am

Hourly rate increase of $3/hour for swing shift

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develop a plan of action to manufacture parts according to drawing specifications
• Read and understand production process work instructions and drawings to gain a thorough understanding of requirements
• Setup equipment required to complete each step of the manufacturing process
• Setup tools and fixtures, load into machine, and set offsets
• Set parts X, Y, and Z offset in the machine control
• Read, understand and adjust G&M machine code
• Monitoring the production process. Able to think critically and make adjustments to process when problems arise
• Measure parts throughout the manufacturing process and adjust as needed to ensure process paper and drawings compliance.
• Inspecting finished parts per drawing
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Required Skills/Abilities:

• 5+ years’ experience with complexed machining.
• Have a positive attitude
• Extensive knowledge of CNC machine tools and controls
• Extensive knowledge of machining and machining processes.
• Extensive knowledge of machine shop tooling, speeds and feeds
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T on drawings
• Excellent machine shop math skills, able to calculate proper feeds and speeds
• Perform job requirements with limited supervision
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to comply with all company safety guidelines

Physical Requirements:
