Job Description: Machinist Level 3

Pay Range: $33.00 - $40.00

CNC Machinist: Hilton Tool is a Manufacturer of Precision Machined Components, specializing in close tolerance parts, assemblies, prototyping, and production runs. A successful candidate will be able to plan and layout work, set up and operate various CNC mills, lathes, Wire and sinker EDM, and other manufacturing equipment. Inspect parts to ensure they are within tolerance using precision measuring tools such as height gauges, calipers, micrometers, etc. Able to hold tolerances of +/- .001.

Job Type: Full-time

SWING SHIFT:

Monday-Thursday 4:30 pm – 3 am

Hourly rate increase of $1.50/hour for swing shift

Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Develop a plan of action to manufacture parts according to drawing specifications.
  2. Read and understand production process work instructions and drawings to gain a thorough understanding of requirements.
  3. Setup equipment required to complete each step of the manufacturing process.
  4. Setup tools and fixtures, load into machine, and set offsets.
  5. Set parts X, Y, and Z offset in the machine control.
  6. Read, understand and adjust G&M machine code.
  7. Monitor the production process. Able to think critically and make adjustments to process when problems arise.
  8. Measure parts throughout the manufacturing process and adjust as needed to ensure process paper and drawings compliance.
  9. Inspect finished parts per drawing.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  1. Have a positive attitude.
  2. Extensive knowledge of CNC machine tools and controls.
  3. Extensive knowledge of machining and machining processes.
  4. Extensive knowledge of machine shop tooling, speeds and feeds.
  5. Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T on drawings.
  6. Excellent machine shop math skills, able to calculate proper feeds and speeds.
  7. Perform job requirements with limited supervision.
  8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  9. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  11. Ability to comply with all company safety guidelines.
  12. Strives to build knowledge and skills continuously; shares expertise with others.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Able to lift 50 pounds.
  2. Able to stand for entire shift.
