Job summary

Environment One Corporation (E/One) within Precision Castparts Corp. in New York is seeking a CNC Machinist to load fixtures, set up cutting tools and CNC programs, and run multiple machines for precision parts.

• Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction
• Use sample parts, blueprints, and schematics to determine the method and order of operations.
• Protect machines and machined product by following processes and procedures such as part loading, being in control of the machine, and safely transporting product over short distances.
• Maintain product quality through monitoring and adjusting CNC offsets as needed.
• Perform and record in process inspection actions such as measuring and validating part features regarding dimensional tolerances and specifications.
• Perform first article and buyoff
• Perform setup operations which includes setting up fixtures, cutting tools and CNC programs.
• Perform inspection tasks of intermediate complexity interacting with drawings and more advanced inspection tools.
• Run production on multiple machines at once. (Primary & Secondary)
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• The ability to identify and correctly load and secure fixtures with minimal assistance.
• A working knowledge of G and M codes applied in setting and adjusting offsets and interacting with CNC programs.
• A working knowledge of shop math including tool geometry, positive and negative numbers, as well as basic geometry.
• The ability to read basic prints and apply basic dimensional specifications to inspection processes.
• Typically this position requires evidence of success in level one machining duties for at least one year prior to promotion or hire.
• 2-4 years of experience
• GED or High School diploma preferred

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $30 to $32 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
