Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking a skilled Machinist IV for the 3rd shift in Buffalo, NY. You will manufacture high-precision components for aerospace and defense, performing CNC programming and precision machining on CAM systems with tight tolerances.

Qualified candidates have 6 years of diversified machining experience and CAD/CAM familiarity. Moog offers a sign-on bonus, shift differential for 2nd/3rd shifts, and a robust compensation package including 401(k) matching and stock purchase options.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; otherwise, ability to understand and apply verbal, written and computer work instructions in English.
• 6 years' experience as a diversified machinist.
• Previous CAD/CAM experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision machining operations and CNC programming on CAM systems to create, repair, or alter a wide variety of complex parts, fixtures, tooling, sub-assemblies, and assemblies of all types of materials.
• Knowledge of G & M Codes.
• This includes planning, fixturing and layout of the job.
• Hold very tight tolerances (.0001-.0002).
• Responsible for the inspection and quality of all work performed.
• Work alongside Design Draftsmen and Manufacturing Engineers to find and execute solutions when issues arise, including detecting unusual conditions, defective materials and following operation instructions.
• Make technical decisions in fixturing, tooling, set-up, and inspection methods where well-defined instructions are occasionally absent.

This position is eligible for a $3,500 sign-on bonus. To qualify, candidates must submit their application between July 20, 2026, and September 11, 2026, and is subject to the terms of the bonus agreement.

To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you

As a Machinist IV, you will

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $37.00-$41.00 Hourly
